Community Policing

Neighborhood Betterment Committee

STAND is not a Neighborhood Watch group. Neighborhood Watch groups typically cover a one block area with all members in line of sight. We are a Neighborhood Betterment Committee. Neighborhood Betterment Committees cover a broader area. We are much older and more experienced. STAND has been doing this community work since 1990. We have a deeper more intimate relationship with the police department and the City of Stockton.

If you are a resident of South East Stockton and have a complaint or problem with crime, policing, code enforcement, street lights, dogs, neighbors, etc. – then contact us at our office or at our monthly community meetings.

We have direct contact with the Community Service Officer, Community Policing Officers and the Police Lieutenant that are responsible for South East Stockton. We will get the details of your incident and pass it on to PD. We will track your problem and get you a report back from PD on progress or the status of you issue.

It is best you come to the meeting and talk directly with the police officers but we understand that many people are uncomfortable with that. In that case call or come to our office. We are in the neighborhood.

Our Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at our office:
